How can I become a member?

Introduction of new members of The House of Praise are made quarterly during Sunday morning worship services by Senior Pastor - Dr. Olu.

​
Dr. Olu and the Elders of The House of Praise welcome everyone who responds to the invitation into membership. Each person that responds to the invitation is encouraged to attend a six-week membership course: "Grow” taught by Pastor Olu or a delegated leader.

Upon completion of this class, your decision to join membership of The House of Praise is recorded and certificate given.

Baby Dedication
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.  Proverbs 22:6

Baby Dedications are planned every two months during our 10:00am service.  Parents and their families are invited to bring their newborns, infants and toddler children to the altar for dedication by the Senior Pastor of The House of Praise, Olu Oluwatofehinti. We believe that empowering children to succeed with the blessing of the Lord is important and honorable to set the course for the rest of their lives.

Water Baptism​

For New Water Baptism Candidates:

​

We believe that baptism; the total immersion of a believer in water symbolizes the believer's acceptance of the finished work of Christ on Calvary's cross. Baptism testifies of the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This is also a public declaration of faith in Christ Jesus.

Our volunteers and leaders counsel candidates and ensure that baptism candidates understand the decision they are making.

​

Water Baptism is provided every other month. A Water Baptism Preparation Class is offered prior to baptism.
